woot!
My accomplishments this week:
1. I made a 4 by 6 poster of woll smoth to put on my door, virtually eliminating my entire supply of black ink
2. I finished my cognition notes and neuroscience notes
3. I made $30
4. I got a job interview at CKUT (whether I get the job is yet to be determined)
That's pretty much it. The end.

I am in love with

on an unrelated note, today is not shaping up to be a great day. I mean I am in love with Obama and woo to his inaug and everything, but I really wanted Five Alive, so I went to the vending machine to get some. I put in all my money and pressed the button and it was sold out. And the machine wouldn't give me my money back. It did, however, let me buy Fruitopia fruit punch, so I did. and it was VERY unsatisfying.

Syntax
So I'm in Syntax, and as pathetic as it seems, I simply can't wait until it is over. The class usually holds my attention, but I can't deal with the questions that are asked and the arguments that people end up having, which have absolutely nothing to do with the topic matter at hand. Plus, it's all stuff I learned last semester in intro to linguistics. You'd think after 6 lectures you'd start getting into new material, but nope, not yet! We'll see how things go next class.
A few things have been on my mind recently, and I feel a rant is in order, but class is about to end, so it is going to have to wait until I make another post.
I'm off to gawk at Warhol for a couple of hours, wish me luck!
P.S. Akron/Family is coming to Montreal again avec les Born Ruffians. I am stoked times a billion. :D

New Years Resolutions
1. Keep in contact with certain people on a more regular basis
2. actually learn to play the instruments I own
3. Take French lessons
4. start street fashion blog with help from my wonderful big sis
5. keep up with all my readings the week they are assigned
6. go through each lecture notes after the lecture, not right before the exam
7. grow about 5 inches
8. gain 5 pounds and give blood
9. survive the first year of McGill life
10. figure this whole "degree" thing out
11. make my apartment look like a real home
12. find a new apartment
13. go to the radio station every day
14. send off my application to join the stem cell donor bank
15. write more short stories and poems
16. stick to my budget
17. find a way to get more money for next year
18. start making and selling jewellery again
19. read the news every morning
20. learn stuff about stuff
21. grow out hair, not dying it anymore would prolly be a good idea
22. learn to draw nude people
23. read at least a book a month for fun
24. maintain a decent GPA
25. get into honours Linguistics
