Dominican Republic

And I'm back from the Dominican Republic with a sweet tan and the rest of the summer ahead of me.

My sister made the most gorgeous bride ever. I saw her and pretty much melted on the spot. Apart from the wedding though (whose importance I'm not trying to downplay) I got some sun, did a lot of swimming in the pool, did even more swimming in the beach, and spent some of my hard-earned cash. It was a great time.

Now I'm ready for the rest of the summer before moving out. I need to get my stuff in order, and have fun at the same time. Should be interesting!

What's wrong?

I'm watching this show on A&E called I survived. There are 3 different stories on it, about survivors from various events. One is a hostage, two are survivors from a sinking ferry, and the final one is a man who was attacked by his neighbour. It's making me think about all the horror that exists in this world. Of course, I'm not a sheltered person, I know what's out there, but to hear the stories first hand from the survivors really makes you realise the lives that have been ruined and the scars that have been erected.

But at the risk of sounding morbid and ridiculous I'll stop going on about it and go organise the garage sale boxes.

Whales

Whales are pretty much premium. They have giant bodies with fins and blowholes and mouths with no teeth that eat krill and other such small fish.

You can see them every so often because they are mammals and have to go to the surface to breathe, and they are the cutest things ever, so it's worth it.

And... uhh... yeah. I like whales.
